Forgejo learnit theme

A single warm-paper light theme for Forgejo, built from the tokens in docs/style-guide.html. It imports the stock theme-forgejo-light.css and overrides its CSS variables, so it needs little maintenance across Forgejo upgrades (variable names verified against Forgejo 16.0.5).

Install (container)

  1. Run ./run.sh (or mount theme-learnit.css and the fonts/ directory (as learnit-fonts) into custom/public/assets/css/, see run.sh).
  2. Set FORGEJO__ui__THEMES=learnit and FORGEJO__ui__DEFAULT_THEME=learnit (or [ui] THEMES / DEFAULT_THEME in app.ini).
  3. Restart Forgejo.

Fonts

Cantarell and JetBrains Mono are self-hosted as woff2 (SIL OFL), no external requests.

After a Forgejo upgrade

Diff the new /assets/css/theme-forgejo-light.css variable names against the ones set in theme-learnit.css.
